Draft for review. This text describes how the service is built. It has not been through legal review yet, and the controller details in the imprint still need to be filled in.
This website
The site is a set of static files. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no cookie banner, because nothing here sets a cookie. Our hosting provider writes ordinary server logs, which include the requesting IP address, and keeps them only as long as needed to operate and secure the site.
The service
We operate Mailwurf, so the data below sits on our infrastructure:
- Account data: the contact name and address of the person who asked for access, and the project keys we issued.
- Inbox data: the inbox id, its address and its expiry time.
- Message data: the raw MIME of every message delivered to an inbox, plus the parsed subject, body, links and one time code.
- Transport data: the envelope of the SMTP transaction, such as sending host, sender and recipient, and connection logs used to fight abuse.
How long we keep it
Inboxes and their messages are deleted when the retention window of your plan elapses, or immediately when you call DELETE on the inbox. Nothing is archived and nothing is used to train anything. Account records are kept while your access is active and afterwards only as long as commercial law requires.
What you must not send
A Mailwurf domain is a catch all, so anything addressed to it is accepted. That makes it a test system by design: do not route production mail, personal data or customer data through it. If your suite needs data that identifies a real person, generate it as test data instead.
Processors and location
Mailwurf runs on infrastructure inside the European Union. Where a subprocessor is involved in hosting or mail transport, it is bound by a data processing agreement, and we will name the current list on request. For customers who process personal test data, a data processing agreement is part of the dedicated plan.
Your rights and contact
You can ask what we store about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction or ask for deletion. Write to hello@wemogy.com and we will answer within the statutory period. Company details are on the imprint page.
