Terms
Last updated 20 August 2026
Draft for review. These terms describe how we intend to run the service. They have not been through legal review, and the contracting entity and jurisdiction still need to be confirmed.
The service
Mailwurf is a hosted mailbox for automated tests, operated by wemogy. Access is granted per project through an API key. The software itself is not distributed: there is no self hosted edition today, and the key does not transfer to a third party without our agreement.
Acceptable use
- Use it for mail your own test suite generates.
- Do not send production mail, personal data or customer data to an inbox.
- Do not use Mailwurf to receive mail on behalf of someone else, to sign up for third party services, or to bypass a provider’s verification.
- Do not attempt to reach inboxes that belong to another project, and keep your API key out of your repository.
We may suspend a key that is used this way, and we may refuse mail from a sending host that abuses the endpoint.
Availability and change
Mailwurf is in private access. During this phase there is no availability commitment, endpoints can change with notice, and inbox retention can be adjusted. Once pricing is public, the plan you agree to sets the availability and retention that apply.
Liability
The service is provided as is. wemogy is not liable for lost mail, failed test runs, or damage arising from using Mailwurf in a release process, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Keep a test suite that can tell the difference between a broken feature and a mail service that is unavailable.
